Braunschweig: Schools Closed, Tram Disruptions Due to Weather

Braunschweig shuts schools and alters transport amid icy chaos

BRAUNSCHWEIG — Schools in Braunschweig will remain closed today, Monday, due to severe weather conditions. As a result, tram line 10 will not operate, following the same schedule as during school holidays, the Braunschweig public transport authority (BSVG) announced in a press release.

Meanwhile, tram line 4 will run on a limited schedule after icy conditions left the track toward Inselwall impassable. Passengers can use bus lines 411, 416, 450, and 480 as alternatives, traveling as far as the "Radeklint" stop. Those who need to board or alight at "Alte Waage" are advised to use the nearby "Packhof" bus stop instead.
