Primorsky Krai braces for storms, fog, and shifting summer weather this week
The first week of summer in Primorsky Krai will bring shifting weather patterns, from heavy storms to clearer skies. Tropical Storm Jangmi, the first cyclone of 2026 to reach mid-latitudes, formed on May 27 in the Pacific, adding to the region’s unpredictable conditions. Residents can expect rapid changes over the coming days. Monday, June 1, will begin with calm weather, but frontal systems will move in by evening. Daytime temperatures inland will peak at +27 to +32°C, while coastal areas stay cooler at +17 to +22°C. By night, readings will drop to +9 to +14°C, with northern districts seeing lows of +3 to +8°C. Heavy showers, thunderstorms, and strong southwestern winds are forecast for Monday evening.
On Tuesday, June 2, the weather will start to stabilise as the fronts exit and rainfall stops. However, rising pressure may create fog and light drizzle, especially near the coast.
By Wednesday, June 3, inland areas will enjoy dry and comfortable conditions. Coastal regions, though, will again face morning fog and chilly rain. The week’s weather will move from stormy to settled, though coastal zones remain prone to fog and drizzle. Inland areas can expect warmer, drier conditions by midweek, while the influence of Tropical Storm Jangmi lingers in the broader Pacific region.
