Dzerzhinsk's 96th Anniversary Celebrates Unity and Cultural Diversity
Dzerzhinsk has marked its 96th anniversary with a weekend of celebrations. The city’s centennial approaches, and a wave of events highlighted its cultural diversity and community spirit. Despite changeable weather, thousands of residents turned out to join the festivities. The centrepiece of the celebrations was the National Cultures Festival at Duck Lake. Yevgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Legislative Assembly, attended the festivities. He remarked that the city’s greatest asset is its people, emphasising their role in shaping its future. The celebrations also included an awards ceremony for outstanding professionals, who received the 'In Service to the People' badge of honour.
