Newport Beach's Lido Theater expands with concerts, comedy and film in 2026
The Lido Theater in Newport Beach is expanding its entertainment programme with a fresh lineup of concerts, comedy, and film. Owners Joseph 'McG' Nichol and Jordan Otterbein took over the venue in 2024 and have since transformed it into a cultural hub. High demand has even led to an extra performance by comedian David Spade.
The historic theater, located in Via Lido Plaza near Lido Marina Village, now offers a mix of live music, stand-up comedy, and weekly film screenings. Its summer-fall 2026 schedule features tribute acts, touring artists, and comedians, running through October.
Past performers include Gipsy Kings, Sugar Ray, Chris Isaak, and Dwight Yoakam. McG’s goal is to create a vibrant space where music, cinema, and community events come together.
