Minnesota's unseasonably warm weekend brings gusty winds and patchy rain

Warm summer-like weather will stick around across Minnesota this weekend. While some areas may see light rain, most of the state will stay dry and unseasonably warm. Stronger winds and patchy cloud cover will also shape conditions over the next few days. Saturday will bring highs in the low 80s, though cloud cover should keep temperatures slightly cooler. Winds will pick up in the afternoon, with gusts reaching 15 to 30 mph. Overnight lows will dip back into the 60s.

Sunday’s forecast mirrors Saturday, with highs again in the low 80s. The southeast part of the state could see a chance of light rain, offering some relief from dry conditions. Meanwhile, southwestern Minnesota may also get some beneficial rainfall. The heat won’t stop after the weekend. Temperatures will climb again on Monday and keep rising through the week. Drought remains a concern, particularly in southern Minnesota, where rainfall has been scarce.

The weekend will stay warm, with only isolated rain in parts of the state. Winds and cloud cover will bring minor changes, but the overall trend points to continued dryness. Next week’s rising temperatures will likely extend the unseasonable heat across Minnesota.
