Maharashtra CM Fadnavis orders urgent upgrades to state healthcare system

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered state departments to strengthen the healthcare system. During a recent review, he highlighted the need for better coordination, modern facilities, and faster project completion. His directives aim to improve efficiency and accountability across health services. Fadnavis began by examining the operations of the Health War Room, which oversees healthcare services and emergency responses. He then assessed the progress of key initiatives, including Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Critical Care Blocks, and advanced diagnostic labs.

He instructed officials to ensure all ongoing health projects meet their deadlines without sacrificing quality. Regular monitoring and transparent execution were also emphasised to avoid delays. The chief minister specifically called for diagnostic labs to be upgraded with modern technology and sufficient staff.

Accountability and teamwork between departments were key points in his address. Fadnavis made it clear that a responsive healthcare system depends on smooth collaboration and timely action. The directives set clear expectations for Maharashtra’s health infrastructure. Officials must now complete projects on time, upgrade facilities, and maintain transparency in their work. These steps are intended to create a more reliable and efficient healthcare network across the state.
