Madhya Pradesh Launches State Traders' Welfare Board Under CM Yadav

Madhya Pradesh has established a new State Traders' Welfare Board to support business and governance. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will lead the board as its chairman. The body includes representatives from industry, government, and key state institutions.

The board will feature ex officio members from major organisations. These include the heads of CII, FICCI, and other state-level trade bodies. The chief executive officer of the Institute of Good Governance and the director of the Academy of Administration will also hold permanent seats.

Mohan Yadav and board chairperson Chatanya Kashyap will jointly nominate ten additional members. These appointees will come from various industries and government departments. The managing director of the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) will serve as the member secretary. Regular meetings will take place every three months to discuss policies and initiatives.

The new board aims to streamline trade-related governance and industry collaboration. With quarterly meetings and a mix of nominated and permanent members, it will work under the chief minister’s direct oversight. The structure ensures representation from both private and public sectors.
