Late May and early June bring vibrant cultural events across the region

A variety of cultural and community events are set to take place across the region in late May and early June. From live music and theatre to charity walks and hobby horse racing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Murales de San Isidro festival returns to Orihuela from 22 to 24 May. Visitors can expect live music and urban artwork throughout the weekend.

On Friday 29 May, Chester Rock & Grill will host a 'Back to the Future' live music night. The event features The Rock and Rollers, promising an evening of classic hits. Theatre lovers can catch *9 to 5 The Musical* at the Cardinal Belluga Theatre in San Fulgencio. Studio 32 presents the show from 27 to 30 May. For those looking to stay active, weekly aqua aerobics classes continue every Tuesday. Sessions run from 11 am to midday at the Hotel Restaurant Bar Algorfa. A unique charity event takes place on Sunday 31 May in Hondon de las Nieves. The hobby horse racing, starting at 2 pm, aims to raise funds for HOVAR, the Hondon Valley Animal Rescue organisation. The Orihuela Costa Charity Walk is scheduled for Sunday 7 June. Participants will gather at the Emerald Isle in La Florida around 11 am. Wine enthusiasts can look forward to the 'Night of Stars and Wine' series in Monóvar. The first event on 12 June features Bodegas Ortigosa, offering a mix of local flavours and entertainment.

These events provide opportunities for entertainment, fitness, and community support. Residents and visitors alike can take part in everything from theatre and music to charity fundraisers and outdoor activities.
