La Cala de Mijas hosts a summer fair with fashion and live music
A summer fair and fashion show is coming to La Cala de Mijas on Sunday, May 31. The event, organised by La Cala de Mijas Lions, will take place at Butibamba park with free entry from 11am. Visitors can expect live music, artisan stalls, and a charity fashion parade. The fair will feature over 40 artisan stalls selling handmade gifts, jewellery, and boutique items. Shoppers can browse unique crafts while supporting local makers.
Local choir Phoenix Singers, known for their modern harmony arrangements of pop, musical theatre, and classic songs, will perform during the event. The group, based near Alhaurín el Grande and Coín, adds a musical highlight to the day.
A fashion parade will also take place, showcasing elegant clothing and seasonal outfits from the charity’s shop. All items on display will be available to buy, with proceeds going to good causes.
La Cala de Mijas Lions have teamed up with Mijas town hall’s foreigners department to bring the event together. Sponsors include Global Radio 93.6, Ibex Insurance, Avalon Funeral Plans, The Costa Connection Magazine, Super Storage, and Man and Van Andrea Szóke. All funds raised will help families and community groups in need along the coast. For more details, visitors can check La Cala de Mijas Lions’ social media channels.
