Kunal Khemu confirms Madgaon Express 2 with original cast returning

Actor-director Kunal Khemu has confirmed plans for Madgaon Express 2, the sequel to his 2024 debut film. The original movie, a comic-caper starring Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, and Avinash Tiwari, earned praise from critics and performed well at the box office. Khemu is now focusing on the script while wrapping up other projects. Madgaon Express made its mark in 2024 as Kunal Khemu’s directorial debut. The film’s mix of humour and adventure won over audiences, securing four nominations at the 70th Filmfare Awards. Its success has now led to talks of a follow-up.

Khemu recently finished shooting a schedule for Rohit Shetty’s *Golmaal 5*. Despite his busy timeline, he has begun developing the script for *Madgaon Express 2*. Co-star Divyenndu also confirmed the sequel’s progress in recent interviews. Fans can expect the same leading trio—Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, and Avinash Tiwari—to return. Khemu has hinted that the sequel will bring ‘exciting vibes,’ though details about the plot remain under wraps.

With the original cast likely to reunite, Madgaon Express 2 is already generating buzz. The first film’s strong reception and award recognition set high expectations for the sequel. Khemu’s scriptwork suggests the project is moving forward, though no release date has been announced yet.
