Billie Eilish's 3D concert film hits Portuguese cinemas this week
A new 3D concert film featuring Billie Eilish is set to hit Portuguese cinemas this Thursday. Directed by both the pop star and legendary filmmaker James Cameron, the project captures her recent tour in immersive detail. The idea first came from Cameron himself, who pitched the concept to Eilish and her family. The film, titled Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), documents the singer’s performances supporting her latest album. That record, Hit Me Hard and Soft, includes standout tracks like Birds of a Feather and Wildflower.
Cameron initially approached Maggie Baird, Eilish’s mother, with the proposal to film the tour in 3D. The collaboration between the Oscar-winning director and the Grammy-winning artist marks a rare blend of music and cutting-edge cinema. Eilish co-directed the project alongside Cameron, ensuring the final product reflected her artistic vision. Portuguese audiences will be the first to experience the film in theatres when it premieres later this week.
The release brings together Eilish’s chart-topping music and Cameron’s expertise in 3D filmmaking. Moviegoers will see her tour through a new lens, with the technology enhancing the live concert experience. Tickets are now available for the Thursday screening across Portugal.
