Krasnodar Postpones Fountain Launch Due to Bad Weather, City Administration Reports
Krasnodar's 11 fountains face unexpected delay due to harsh weather
Ahead of the new season, specialists conducted a full diagnostic check of the fountains' internal and external equipment. They also repaired damaged components, cleaned the basins, and inspected the electrical and hydraulic systems.
Authorities plan to activate 11 fountains across the city: on Platonov Boulevard in the Yubileyny microdistrict; at Cossack Square in front of the Legislative Assembly; the Zvezdny ("Starry") and Stroiny ("Slim") fountains in the Friendship of Peoples Park; Rosa Vetrov ("Compass Rose"); near the monument to Saint Catherine the Great Martyr; by the Alexandrovskaya Arch; at the intersection of Krasnaya Street and Babushkin Street; in the park named after Marshal G.K. Zhukov; on the main city square; in the Festival Park at the intersection of Atarbekov and Turgenev streets; in L.G. Gatov Park near the Premiera Palace of Arts; and outside the Avrora cinema on Alexandrovsky Boulevard.
Earlier, Yug Times had reported that Krasnodar's fountains were set to begin operating on April 24.
