Krasnodar to Host Only Local District Events, Each Coordinated with Security Agencies

Krasnodar prioritizes safety and cleanliness for scaled-back May holidays

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev and the regional FSB director, Leonid Mikhaylyuk, held a meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Commission, with public safety during the May holidays as the top priority.

No large-scale street events are planned in Krasnodar. Only localized district activities will take place, each approved in coordination with law enforcement and security services.

There will be no traditional May Day labor marches. Festive programs will instead be held in city parks (weather permitting), cultural institutions, courtyards, and sports grounds. Those heading outdoors are urged to strictly follow fire safety regulations.

From May 1 to 4, the region is expected to experience heavy rainfall, causing water levels in rivers—including the Kuban—to rise. On the governor's orders, visual monitoring of waterways and reservoirs will be implemented. Emergency alert systems are operational, and high-risk areas are under heightened surveillance.

This year, Krasnodar will forgo parades and processions. The Immortal Regiment march will be held online. An honor guard will stand watch at the Eternal Flame. Every veteran will receive personal greetings, with additional support from "frontline brigades." As always, flowers will be laid at memorials. "The enemy will not break our spirit on this sacred day," officials emphasized.

Earlier, we reported that Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov and local residents had restored the city's central promenade. A two-month sanitation marathon saw residents and volunteer teams cleaning courtyards, streets, forest belts, green zones, and memorial sites, as well as planting trees.
