Crimea's May holidays face unseasonable cold and relentless rain

Barbecue plans and light clothing will have to wait—Crimea's May holidays will bring cold and rain, according to Crimea 24.

From May 1 to 5, warm weather will not return to the peninsula. Tatiana Lyubetskaya, head of the local hydrometeorological center, reports that conditions will remain cool and damp.

The heaviest rainfall is forecast for May 3, 4, and 5, though showers will begin as early as April 30 and persist throughout the holiday period. May 1–2 will see brief rain, but downpours will intensify by May 3–5.

In Simferopol, daytime temperatures will reach only +8 to +11°C (46–52°F), dropping to +3 to +7°C (37–45°F) at night. Northeasterly winds will add to the chill.

Earlier, we reported that Naumov shared details on how Krasnodar will celebrate the May holidays. The city has no large-scale street events planned, with only localized district activities—each coordinated with law enforcement.
