Krasnodar blanketed by 15 cm of snow as emergency crews respond
Krasnodar, January 12 — Yug Times. Overnight snowfall has blanketed Krasnodar with about 15 centimeters of snow, with precipitation continuing through the day. According to the city administration's press service, the intensity of the snowfall is expected to ease after 6:00 PM.
Pavel Ivanov, head of the civil defense department at Krasnodar's administration, reported that road and utility crews are actively clearing streets amid the heavy snow. Emergency and fire services remain on high alert.
"Wet snow may accumulate on power lines, and temperatures are set to drop, increasing the risk of icy conditions," Ivanov warned. "The city administration advises residents to monitor weather updates, follow traffic regulations, and observe fire safety precautions."
