Komi's Museum Night 2026 Celebrates Homeland with Culture and Creativity

The National Museum of the Republic of Komi hosted its annual Museum Night on May 16, 2026. This year’s event, themed Homeland, showcased Komi culture through performances, workshops, and interactive activities for all ages. The evening kicked off with a concert titled My Beloved Land in the ethnography section. Performances featured the Vspolokhi ensemble, the Radost Moya folk collective, and the Balalaika musical group.

The centrepiece of the night was *The Sun and the Moon*, a theatrical production by the First Action studio. Meanwhile, the literature department offered expert-led tours and a home concert by pianist Igor Kostin. Anna Churakova, director of the Komi Republican Printing House, also delivered a talk on book production. Children took part in hands-on workshops, exploring traditional Komi costumes and crafting Khanty dolls. The nature department hosted a quiz game called *I’ll Bet on It*, where winners received Syktyvkar travel guides and postcards. Throughout the night, visitors enjoyed exhibitions, guided tours, raffles, quests, and educational games.

Museum Night 2026 brought together music, theatre, and cultural workshops under the Homeland theme. The event highlighted Komi traditions while offering entertainment and learning for families and visitors of all ages.
