Kazakhstan dominates Junior World Cup with two shooting golds in Cairo
The Junior World Cup in rifle and pistol shooting, underway in Egypt's capital and drawing nearly 300 athletes from 25 countries, opened with a triumph for Kazakhstan's marksmen. They claimed two gold medals, propelling their nation to the top of the overall team standings and outpacing established powerhouses like India and France.
The first top-tier medal came courtesy of Kirill Tsukanov in the 25-meter pistol event. Scoring 581 points in the final, he secured the lead, leaving behind strong Indian rivals Raj Chandra and Abhinav Deshwal. Teammate Ramazan Yntykbay also delivered a solid performance, finishing ninth and breaking into the top ten.
Oleg Noskov built on his teammate's success, dominating the 50-meter rifle prone competition with phenomenal precision. His winning score of 616.3 points left his nearest challengers from India and Belarus trailing by mere fractions—a testament to his exceptional focus and skill.
