Yakutia's Bulunsky District to Build High-Tech Fishing Base by 2025
YAKUTIA.INFO – Ruslan Lukin, director of the municipal enterprise Bulunskoye, held a working meeting with the leadership of one of Russia's largest fishing industry companies. The parties discussed prospects for developing traditional fisheries in the northern part of the region, the company's press service reported.
The key outcome of the talks was an agreement to expand long-term cooperation and attract investment into Bulunsky District's infrastructure. A central provision of the deal is funding for the construction of a modern fishing base at the Kumakh-Surt site.
The new facility will be a full-fledged primary processing plant with a capacity of up to 12 tons of fresh-frozen products per day. The project includes equipping the base with high-capacity refrigeration units and storage chambers, as well as modern washing, filleting, plate-freezing, and shock-freezing lines. The site will also feature ice generators, packaging lines, and comfortable living quarters for workers.
According to Ruslan Lukin, establishing modern infrastructure directly at the fishing grounds marks a major step in the enterprise's development. It will boost operational efficiency, improve freezing quality, and ensure stable catch volumes.
The new facility will contribute to the growth of Bulunsky District and support traditional northern fisheries.
