Skiers and Snowboarders Wrap Up the Season at Hehcir Mountain Resort

Hehcir and Kholdomi resorts celebrate winter with costume descents and extended skiing

As reported by the Khabarovsk Krai Today news agency, a costume descent held over the final March weekend marked the official end of the season at the resort.

To celebrate the close of the 2025–2026 season, Hehcir hosted a "Soft Snow" party, featuring dancing, a poolside gathering, contests, prize giveaways, and the resort's now-traditional eye-catching descent in swimsuits and costumes. Participants took to the slopes dressed as characters from Russian folklore, sumo wrestlers, Maleficent, Koschei the Deathless, King Kong, and more.

The season at Hehcir began in late December, with the "Samolyotka" (Little Plane) run the first to open for skiers. The "Polkovnik" (Colonel) slope followed shortly after.

Meanwhile, another major resort in Khabarovsk Krai, Kholdomi, will host a mass descent this coming weekend. Resort officials clarified that this annual event is not intended to mark the end of the season.

"The mass descent is scheduled for April 5," Kholdomi representatives noted. "This large-scale event does not signal the season's closure—the resort will continue operating as usual after the celebration."
