Fantasia Film Festival 2026 unveils star-studded lineup for 30th edition

The 30th Fantasia International Film Festival will run from July 16 to August 2, 2026, in Montreal. Organisers have begun revealing the lineup, with key premieres already confirmed for the event. The festival will showcase a mix of world and North American premieres. Kasper Kalle’s No Rest for the Wicked, Jenn Wexler’s The Last Temptation of Becky, and Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s Hot Spot—starring Noomi Rapace—will all make their global debuts. Meanwhile, Makoto Ueda’s You Are the Film and Yeom Ji-oh’s The Eyes will have their first North American screenings.

Screenings will take place at Concordia Hall and the J.A. de Sève cinemas. Andrea Corsini’s Ferine is also set to feature in the programme. The full lineup will be announced in stages, with all details expected by early July.

The event is presented by MELS in partnership with Concordia University. Support comes from organisations like Telefilm Canada and the city of Montreal. This year’s festival marks its 30th edition, running over 18 days. Films like Hot Spot, The Eyes, and No Rest for the Wicked will draw attention to both new and established filmmakers. The complete schedule and ticket information will be released in the coming weeks.
