Dermbach Social Services Center celebrates 35 years with music and community

The Dermbach Social Services Center will mark its 35th anniversary on June 7, 2023. A day of celebrations is planned, featuring a worship service, a community festival, and a piano recital by an acclaimed South Korean artist. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. with a worship service at Dermbach’s Evangelical Trinity Church. Reverend Silke Glöckner will lead the sermon, setting the tone for the day’s festivities.

After the service, attendees can enjoy a community festival. Coffee, cake, and bratwurst will be served, offering a chance for locals to gather and celebrate. At 5:00 p.m., South Korean pianist Younggeun Yoon will take the stage for a recital. Yoon, who discovered his love for the piano at six, has since won multiple international competitions. His performance will include pieces by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Frédéric Chopin. Trained at Yonsei University in Seoul and the Cologne University of Music and Dance, Yoon brings a wealth of experience to the anniversary event.

The anniversary celebrations combine music, worship, and community spirit. The day’s programme reflects the centre’s long-standing role in Dermbach. Organisers expect a strong turnout for the milestone occasion.
