Braunschweig's Buskers Festival Fills Streets with Music and Magic

The Buskers Braunschweig street music festival filled the city centre with live performances over the weekend. Free to attend The festival kicked off on Friday and ran through Saturday, with performances lasting until 9 p.m. each evening. Sunday marked the final day, featuring a lively closing lineup of street acts and live music.

Beyond music, visitors enjoyed acrobatics, fire shows, and comedy routines. Food stalls added to the atmosphere, offering snacks and drinks as crowds moved between stages. As one of northern Germany’s largest street music events, the festival drew performers and spectators from across the region. All artists performed for free, collecting tips from passersby in exchange for their sets. The event’s open-air format allowed for spontaneous performances, with musicians and entertainers engaging directly with the audience.

The festival wrapped up on Sunday with a final round of performances. The mix of music, street acts, and food created a vibrant weekend for Braunschweig. Organisers have not yet announced plans for next year’s edition.
