Davide De Pierro lands TV comedy series deal with AHA Studios

Comedian Davide De Pierro has secured a development deal for an untitled comedy series. The project will be produced by AHA Studios and Ted Gold Productions, with De Pierro both starring and co-writing. His sharp observations on life and love will form the basis of the show’s humour. De Pierro has built a massive online following, with 6 million subscribers across Instagram and TikTok. His short-form videos regularly pull in 60 to 90 million weekly views. His recent debut live show sold out in multiple cities across the US and Europe, proving his appeal beyond social media.

AHA Studios, led by founder Susan Rovner, specialises in scripted, unscripted, and documentary content. The company is currently behind CBS’s cooking competition *America’s Culinary Cup*. Meanwhile, Ted Gold Productions, run by CEO Ted Gold, focuses on scripted television and film. The firm has projects in development at Amazon, MGM, Sony, CBS, DiNovi Pictures, and Prologue Entertainment. The new series will be written by De Pierro alongside Andy Gordon and Maria Ferrari. Rovner and Gold will serve as executive producers, overseeing the project from development to production.

The deal marks De Pierro’s first major television venture as both creator and lead. With strong industry backing and a proven audience, the series aims to bring his comedic style to a wider screen. Production details and a release timeline have yet to be announced.
