East Bay celebrates May the 4th with Star Wars events for all ages
Star Wars fans across the East Bay have plenty to celebrate this May the 4th. Several venues are hosting themed events, from family-friendly activities in Danville to classic film screenings in Orinda and trivia nights in Walnut Creek. Each location offers something different for enthusiasts of all ages. Danville’s Prospect Park Plaza will welcome families for a free Star Wars Day event from 4 to 6 p.m. Children can enjoy themed crafts, face painting, and photo opportunities. The gathering is designed with younger fans in mind, providing a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Orinda Theatre will screen the original Star Wars trilogy in its historic main auditorium. The schedule begins with *A New Hope* at 1 p.m., followed by *The Empire Strikes Back* at 4 p.m., and *Return of the Jedi* at 7 p.m. The venue, known for its classic cinema charm, previously hosted a lively *A New Hope* screening in February, where attendees arrived in costumes and wielded lightsabers. In Walnut Creek, Calicraft Brewing is running *Star Wars Quiz Vol. 4*, a trivia night organised by Geeks Who Drink, starting at 6 p.m. Nearby, Rotator Taproom will offer Hoppy Hour pricing on select draft beers all day for anyone dressed in Star Wars-themed clothing.
