Corporate Workshop on May 20 to Drive Material and Process Efficiency Innovations

A corporate workshop on material and process efficiency will take place on May 20, 2026, in Wutha-Farnroda. Organised by PETKUS Technologie GmbH and Röber Institut GmbH, the event aims to explore innovations in recycling, regional cooperation, and sustainable business models. Companies are invited to register before the May 15 deadline.

The workshop, titled Material and Process Efficiency: Innovation, Regional Cooperation & Value Creation, runs from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM at PETKUS Technologie GmbH. Key topics include circular product design, regional material cycles, and the recycling potential of alternative materials. Attendees will also discuss new cooperative business models to strengthen local value chains.

Innovations in seed sorting, advanced optical sorting technologies, and applications for alternative materials will be demonstrated. Participants are encouraged to bring their own exhibits or test materials for live optical sorting trials. The event is a joint effort by Wartburgkreis district, Hersfeld-Rotenburg Economic Development Agency, Röber Institut GmbH, PETKUS Technologie GmbH, and the Thuringian State Energy Agency (ThEGA). Its primary goal is to generate concrete project ideas while fostering networking among businesses.

Registration remains open until May 15, with the workshop offering a platform for hands-on demonstrations and collaborative discussions. The outcomes may lead to new partnerships and practical solutions in sustainable material processing. Companies interested in circular economy initiatives are urged to attend.
