Cần Giờ serves as HCM City’s 'green shield', protecting the region from climate change while offering vast potential for ecotourism. Instead of copying famous tourism models, planners want to build its identity around mangrove ecosystems, coastal landscapes, and southern Vietnamese traditions.
Key projects include luxury eco-resorts, wellness tourism, and sustainable lifestyle activities. The district also plans to develop signature green souvenirs and large-scale entertainment complexes to extend visitor stays.
