Flight Delays Reported at Astana Airport Due to Severe Weather

Astana Airport is experiencing schedule disruptions, with several incoming flights delayed due to adverse weather conditions, according to a statement from the airport's press service.

As of now, six flights bound for the capital are facing delays, including:

  • KC 584 (Sanya–Astana)
  • DV 784 (Ust-Kamenogorsk–Astana)
  • IQ 400 (Aktobe–Astana)
  • FS 7316 (Kyzylorda–Astana)
  • IQ 438 (Petropavl–Astana)
  • KC 656 (Doha–Astana)

The airport's press service noted that a storm warning remains in effect across all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as in cities of national significance, as of January 12. The harsh weather is impacting aviation operations, potentially leading to further adjustments in both departure and arrival schedules.

Passengers are advised to plan their trips to the airport in advance, account for road and weather conditions, and stay updated on flight statuses. The latest information can be checked through airline call centers or the airport's live flight board on its official website.

Airport authorities report that all services are operating in an enhanced mode. Snow clearance is underway continuously on the apron and forecourt, with specialized equipment deployed to maintain safe conditions.

"Under these challenging weather conditions, our ground crews are working around the clock, with all necessary equipment in use to ensure flight safety and smooth airport operations. We are doing everything possible to minimize disruptions and keep flights on schedule," the press service added.
