Baroque Meets Club Culture at Halle's Boldest Fashion Party in 2026
Halle City Museum will host Barock & Proud – The Fashion Party on June 6, 2026, blending baroque culture with modern club energy. The event, part of the Handel Festival Halle, begins at 7 PM and promises an evening of music, fashion, and free expression in a historic setting. The night kicks off at 7 PM with a welcome address by Jane Unger, director of Halle City Museum. Shortly after, VERONIKA FERRARI & DIE FLAMMEN will take the stage, mixing schlager, classical, jazz, and club sounds to set the tone for the evening.
At 9 PM, a queer fashion performance will showcase collections by Loris Stephan, Leon Sebastian Leiß, and Jens Schabbach. The Christian Wolff House, decorated in baroque style, will remain open for guests to wander, take photos at a selfie station, and soak in the atmosphere. Live baroque arias will echo through the museum as the night progresses. Around 11:30 PM, Das Zappelnde Tanzorchester presents *Where Does Masculinity Belong?*, a musical night reading exploring themes of identity and culture. To close, Berlin-based DJ and multi-instrumentalist M.RUX will transform the space into a dance floor, keeping the energy high until late. The event draws inspiration from Professor Christian Wolff’s legacy of inclusivity, offering a space for diversity, encounter, and creative freedom.
The festival night merges historical elegance with contemporary boldness, from baroque décor to queer fashion and live music. Guests can experience performances, dancing, and exploration in a setting that celebrates both tradition and modern expression.
