Extreme Weather Delays Abitur Exams in Nieder-Olm by One Day

The heads of Nieder-Olm Grammar School (Gymno) and the local comprehensive school have postponed the Abitur exams scheduled for Monday, January 12.

According to the schools' website, parents were ultimately responsible for deciding whether to send their children to school given the forecasted "extreme weather conditions." They were asked to assess whether travel to school would be reasonable in cases of black ice or storm damage, for example.

The written Abitur exams have now been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 13.
