22 km of new sewer networks to transform regional utilities by 2027

A major upgrade to utility infrastructure is underway in the region, with 22 kilometres of new sewer networks set for installation by 2023. The project, funded by the federal budget, aims to modernise water, sewage, and heating systems across 34 municipalities. Work began in 2022 and is expected to finish by late 2027. Construction started in 2022 along Kommunisticheskaya Street, connecting Morskoy to Yeysk’s wastewater treatment facilities. The new system includes both gravity and pressure-based sewer lines, reinforced by seven pumping stations to ensure smooth operation. So far, roughly one-third of the total work has been completed.

The project falls under the federal ‘Modernization of Utility Infrastructure’ initiative. In 2026, an additional 40 facilities will receive major repairs as part of the ‘Infrastructure for Life’ national project. These upgrades will cover 165 kilometres of networks, improving services for residents. The newly installed 280-mm pipes are built to last over 50 years with proper maintenance. The entire scheme remains on track for completion by the fourth quarter of 2027.

Once finished, the upgraded infrastructure will enhance water supply, sewage, and heating across the region. The long-lasting pipes and modernised systems are designed to reduce future maintenance needs. Residents in 34 municipalities will benefit from the improved utility services.
