Yakutsk Ballet Prodigy Sailyna Pestereva Earns Bolshoi Stage Debut

YAKUTIA.INFO A third-year student at the Yakutsk Choreographic School named after A. and N. Poselsky, Sailyna Pestereva, has been invited to compete in the final of the 7th All-Russian Young Performers' Competition "Russian Ballet", to be held from March 1–4 on the country's premier stage—the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

Born in Amga District, Sailyna has studied at the Yakutsk Choreographic School under Daria Dmitrieva since 2015. A laureate of national and international competitions, she is a scholarship recipient from the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Svetlana Zakharova Foundation, as well as a grant holder of the Future Generations Target Fund. At the competition, she will perform variations from the roles of Nune in Gayane and Guruli in The Two Doves.
