Magadan's Rising Stars Shine in Arctic Athletics' Triple Jump

Young athletes from Magadan made a stunning showing at the Russian Championship in Arctic Athletics, clinching three medals in a single day, the city administration's press service reports.

On the first day of competition, the athletes faced off in the triple jump with a two-foot takeoff—a signature event of Arctic Athletics, known for its spectacle and technical difficulty. A total of 54 male and 39 female competitors from across Russia took to the starting line, making the field fiercely competitive—and our victories all the more impressive.

Vladislav Chernenko secured a silver medal with a leap of 12 meters and 3 centimeters. Aleksandra Aplyokhina also claimed second place, clearing 8 meters and 69 centimeters. Yelizaveta Karaseva earned bronze with a result of 8 meters and 64 centimeters.

Four more days of intense competition lie ahead.
