Many Crimson Desert Players Are Searching for White Dye—Here's Where to Find It
White Dye shortage in Crimson Desert forces players to get creative
Players looking to customize their gear with a crisp white hue in Crimson Desert may be out of luck—for now. MeinMMO reveals the best workarounds.
Where Can I Get White Dye?
If you've scoured every merchant in Pywel for "Dye: White," you can stop searching. The community has yet to find a single dyer selling pure white pigment, and no reports confirm it dropping as loot.
The Best Alternative: Near-White Dyes
Since true white isn't available, you'll need to settle for the lightest shades of other dyes. Based on player feedback, two options come closest:
- Yellow Dye from the dye shop in Pororin Village
- Light Blue Dye from the dye shop in the southern outskirts of Demeniss's capital
Both cost just 3 silver combined. Once purchased, use them from your inventory and apply them at any dyer to adjust your gear's color.
Pro Tip: Test Both Under Different Lighting
Experiment with each dye in various in-game lighting conditions to see which "off-white" suits you best—do you prefer a subtle blue tint or a faint yellow undertone? Unfortunately, a perfect white isn't currently in the game.
How to Reach Pororin
While Demeniss's capital lies in eastern Hernand (ride to the local dyer, but watch for hostile forces in the area), Pororin—though geographically closer—is locked behind a quest. Without completing it, your character will black out upon approaching the village. For details, check out our guide: [How to Unlock Pororin and Pet Armor in Crimson Desert].
