Manuel Neuer returns just in time for Bayern's Champions League clash with Real Madrid

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has recovered from a left calf muscle injury and is expected to feature in the Champions League quarterfinal clash against Real Madrid. According to Bild, the German shot-stopper is nearing a return to action and could play again soon after his recent setback.

Reports also indicate that Neuer will be available for the showdown with the Spanish giants, scheduled for April 7.

Additionally, backup goalkeeper Jonas Urbig is set to rejoin team training shortly. He is in the final stages of rehabilitation after a right knee issue and is likewise expected to be fit for the Madrid tie.

Neuer's return could prove pivotal for Bayern during the season's defining matches. This campaign, the veteran goalkeeper has made 29 appearances across all competitions, conceding 27 goals and keeping 10 clean sheets.
