Dermot Kennedy announces Syracuse tour stop for The Weight of the Woods
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy is coming to Syracuse this fall as part of his "The Weight of the Woods" tour.
The performance will be held in the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview at 8 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Kennedy, known for his "passionate and powerful" performances, wrote "The Weight of the Woods" largely near his home in rural Ireland, according to Live Nation. Additional material for the album was recorded in close collaborator Gabe Simon's studio in Nashville.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 3, at 3 p.m., though presales start Thursday, April 2.
