Vladivostok launches massive citywide cleanup and maintenance push

Vladivostok’s municipal services have launched a citywide maintenance drive. On May 3, crews are working across all districts, from road cleaning to utility repairs. Residents and visitors have been advised to stay alert near active work zones. In the Pervorechensky District, teams are tidying Ostryakov Prospect and clearing sidewalks along Zhigura Street. Roadside strips are also being addressed to remove debris and litter.

The Frunzensky District is focusing on underground pedestrian crossings, where workers are sanitising walkways. Along Krasnogo Znameni Prospect, roadside areas are being swept and cleaned. On Russky Island, manual cleaning is underway along Universitetsky Prospect. Several settlements are seeing road grading, while bus stop pavilions are being washed. Engineering specialists are also repairing a manhole and dismantling old structures in the area. Meanwhile, the Leninsky District has crews collecting discarded waste bags and tires from multiple streets. The Pervomaysky District is carrying out a full-scale cleanup of Voronezhskaya Street. In Sovetsky District, teams are removing leftover waste bags following a recent community cleanup effort.

The coordinated effort covers every district in Vladivostok, including Russky Island. Maintenance includes road grading, waste removal, and utility network repairs. Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution in areas where work is ongoing.
