Viersen's Easter raffle revives city centre with record participation
Viersen’s city centre has seen a boost from this year’s Easter campaign. The event brought together 31 local businesses and attracted visitors from across the region. Organisers have called the raffle a success, with prizes now ready for collection. The campaign encouraged shoppers to explore Viersen’s retail variety. Golden eggs were hidden in participating stores, inviting customers to hunt for them. The initiative drew participants not just from Viersen but also from Mönchengladbach, Neuss, and Düsseldorf.
Julia Caspers of Leonhard Moos & Butzen stepped in as the main sponsor. Her support helped extend the campaign’s reach to nearby districts, including Boisheim, Dülken, and Süchteln. Denise Tiffany Wassenberg, owner of Goldstück Fashion and Accessories boutique, also lent her backing to the event. City management has highlighted the campaign’s role in revitalising the area. The goal is to build long-term appeal for Viersen’s city centre. Winners now have until May 30 to claim their vouchers from the participating businesses.
The Easter raffle has brought fresh energy to Viersen’s retail scene. With 31 businesses involved and prizes still available, the campaign’s impact is set to continue. City officials remain focused on making the city centre a thriving destination for locals and visitors alike.
