Victory Day road closures alter bus routes across the city on May 9
Several streets will close on May 9 for Victory Day celebrations. Public transport routes will follow temporary detours to avoid the affected areas. The changes will last for varying times throughout the day. From 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Route No. 1M will take a detour via Pushkin St, Sovetskaya St, Ordzhonikidze St, and Karla Marksa St. During the same hours, Route No. 6 will reroute through Ordzhonikidze St, Sovetskaya St, Kuratova St, Oktyabrsky Ave, and Kommunisticheskaya St.
Route No. 15 will also change its path from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, moving via Oktyabrsky Ave, Ordzhonikidze St, and Karla Marksa St. Meanwhile, Route No. 18M will detour along Kommunisticheskaya St, Oktyabrsky Ave, Ordzhonikidze St, and Internatsionalnaya St during the same morning period.
Route No. 9 will operate via Gorky St and Sovetskaya St for a longer stretch, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Route No. 8 will turn around at the roundabout on Kommunisticheskaya St for the entire day. In the afternoon, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Route No. 6 will shift to a shorter detour via Ordzhonikidze St and Pervomayskaya St. The temporary adjustments aim to keep buses running smoothly despite the road closures. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules and plan extra travel time. Normal service will resume once the celebrations conclude.
