Usharal's Housing Boom Tackles Growing Demand with New Developments

Construction of utility lines for new residential plots is in full swing in the eastern part of Usharal, a city in the Jetisu Region. This will allow local authorities to soon allocate 1,200 land parcels to residents waiting in line for individual housing construction.

Today, Usharal is a rapidly growing hub of the Alakol District in the Jetisu Region, home to over 20,000 people. With demand for housing on the rise, expanding residential development has become a pressing necessity. According to Mayor Aidar Abishev, access to private housing remains a critical issue for many residents—currently, around 1,500 people are waiting for land plots for individual homebuilding.

Beyond distributing land, the city is actively working to boost the supply of ready-made housing. Twenty-eight newly built homes have been transferred to Otbasy Bank for allocation to those on the waiting list. Plans include constructing another 10 houses using district budget funds, as well as attracting investors to build six or seven five-story apartment buildings.
