Tyler Fitzgerald joins Dodgers amid pregnancy and career milestone
The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Tyler Fitzgerald from the Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations on Tuesday. Before Toronto, the righty slugger played for the San Francisco Giants from 2022 to 2025.
Fitzgerald was born on Sep. 15, 1997, in Springfield, Illinois, Chicago. He has been married to Sadie (nee Belcher) since November 2024. The couple tied the knot in Louisville, Kentucky, and honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii.
Sadie was born in May 1997 in Henrico, Virginia. His relationship with Fitzgerald predates his MLB debut. The couple met at the University of Louisville. She studied there from 2015 to 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
Fitzgerald and Sadie started dating in August 2018. He marked their anniversary with an Instagram post in 2019. The post featured a single picture, taken during his time with the Augusta GreenJackets.
Fitzgerald popped the big question to Sadie before her 26th birthday. He mentioned her as "my fiancée" in an Instagram post in May 2023.The couple is expecting a baby boy in July. They announced their pregnancy on Instagram in February.
