Sharjah Police tighten Eid security with patrols and traffic crackdowns
Sharjah Police have announced stricter security measures for the upcoming Eid holidays. The plan includes increased patrols, traffic monitoring, and rapid response teams to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow across the emirate. Traffic patrols will focus on preventing illegal parking near mosques, shopping centres, and popular recreational spots. Officers will also monitor major and internal roads to ease congestion and keep traffic moving. Heavy police presence will be maintained around mosques, especially during Eid prayers.
Field teams will respond quickly to emergencies and address disruptive behaviour, including disturbances in residential areas caused by reckless driving. Special attention will be given to children’s safety at beaches and swimming areas. Additionally, campaigns against begging will be intensified throughout the holiday period.
Residents have been advised to secure their homes properly before travelling. The police aim to maintain order and prevent incidents during the busy festive season. The enhanced measures will cover traffic control, public safety, and crime prevention. Patrols will remain active across key locations, including mosques, shopping districts, and tourist spots. Authorities have urged the public to cooperate and follow safety guidelines during the holidays.
