Seattle's spring weather whiplash: Warmth gives way to rain and cooler temps

Oh, my bad! That was a headline from 10 years ago, April 19, 2016.

The day before, on April 18, 2016, the heat wave resulted in a high of 89. That's the highest temperature on record for that day in Seattle.

For present-day Seattle, the high Sunday at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was 74. Warm, but far from a record-breaker.

Monday will be pretty much like Sunday, with a high in the low 70s, said Dana Felton, National Weather Service in Seattle meteorologist.

Then, because this is Seattle, Tuesday will bring a chance of showers and a high around 60. Wednesday will also bring a chance of showers, and highs in the mid- to upper 50s.

Thursday into the weekend, it'll be dry, with temperatures in the mid- to upper 60s. Yes, the sun will appear.

To summarize, it's going to be a nice, moderate weather week. This is Seattle, baby.
