Pride Of Passion Makes Long-Awaited Return with New EP

After four decades of silence, the prog rock band Pride Of Passion has made a surprising comeback with a new four-track EP titled Brink Of The Horizon. The band, which includes former Marillion members Brian Jelliman and Diz Minnitt, as well as Steven Wilson, a future Porcupine Tree frontman, has been resurrected and is ready to captivate audiences once again.

The band's resurgence was sparked by Diz Minnitt's interviews and a desire to record unreleased songs. Initially, they intended to record only three tracks for the EP, but ended up recording a fourth track, "Sleep". The band has also recorded additional songs for the upcoming album, with plans to release more than six tracks.

The EP includes songs that date back to the mid-80s, such as "Legions", which is 40 years old. The band has reimagined some of the arrangements for the EP, with a focus on keyboards and more backing vocals. Jem Davis from FM contributed to the EP, giving the songs a new texture and life.

Despite their past success at the Marquee in London and a popular live act, Pride Of Passion failed to make a commercial breakthrough. They released a single without getting airplay, and George Michael's manager showed interest but asked for more songs similar to one he heard.

As they gear up for their return to live performances, the band is considering getting a support slot with another band. However, they do not have any romantic notion that there are thousands of Pride Of Passion fans eagerly waiting for their return to the stage. In fact, current public information about their comeback or future shows is not present in the available search results.

Diz Minnitt's departure from the band led to their rebranding as Blazing Apostles. With their new EP out and more music on the horizon, fans of prog rock and those curious about the band's past can look forward to what's next from this long-lost group.
