Rescue Teams Race to Save Hiker After Fall Near Colorado's Mount Glennon

A rescue operation is ongoing after a hiker fell near Mount Glennon in Colorado on Saturday. The incident occurred in Jefferson County, where steep terrain and rocky cliffs made the search challenging.

The hiker placed an emergency call to 911 but struggled to pinpoint his location. Rescue teams faced difficult conditions, as the area is known for its rugged landscape and class 3 scrambling routes.

After an extensive search, crews located the injured man. They are now carrying him out of the remote terrain. An AirLife helicopter has been dispatched to transport him for further medical care. Mount Glennon stands at 6,463 ft, with access limited by its steep slopes and rocky outcrops.

The rescue effort involved ground teams and an airlift response. The hiker’s condition remains unclear as he is being evacuated. Local hiking groups often describe the area as demanding, suited only for experienced climbers.
