Parizh-Nizhny Novgorod and Sochi face First League after RPL relegation

Parizh-Nizhny Novgorod and Sochi have both dropped out of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The two clubs will now compete in the First League next season. Vadim Garanin, who took charge of Parizh-Nizhny Novgorod late in the campaign, has spoken about the team’s future.

Garanin became head coach for the final three matches of the RPL season. His short-term role came as the club fought to avoid relegation. Despite his efforts, the team could not secure enough points to stay up.

After the season ended, Garanin confirmed that many players would leave the squad. He also expressed his desire to keep working with the club. His future, however, remains uncertain as Parizh-Nizhny Novgorod prepares for life in the lower division. The club will now focus on rebuilding ahead of the First League campaign. Sochi, the other relegated side, faces a similar challenge in the coming months.

Both teams will start next season in the First League. Parizh-Nizhny Novgorod must now replace departing players and adjust to a new division. Garanin’s potential return could shape the club’s approach to the upcoming campaign.
