Olivia Rodrigo's logo replaces Spotify on Barcelona's El Clasico jersey

Pop and football are colliding again and this time it is superstar Olivia Rodrigo taking the spotlight, not on a stage but on FC Barcelona's famous blaugrana jersey ahead of the upcoming El Clasico.

The American singer who has had huge success with mega hits including Drivers License, Vampire, and Good 4 U, will have her logo displayed on the front of Barcelona's shirt when the club face Real Madrid in El Clasico on May 10. The collaboration is the latest in the club's headline partnership with Spotify, which replaced the streaming platform's own logo on the kit for high-profile fixtures.

The formula has worked for Barcelona for a few years now with huge names featuring on the kit at high profile matches

Barcelona have been using this formula for a few years now, with some of the world's biggest names lining up to take their place on the shirt. Rapper Drake was first in 2022, followed by Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay, and most recently Travis Scott in 2025. Each brought their own audience to one of football's most iconic, most-watched fixtures, merging the two worlds of sport and entertainment in a way that few partnerships have managed.

Rodrigo has built a massively successful career since exploding onto the music scene in 2021, she is the first solo American artist to feature since Drake. Her logo and appearance on the kit will bring Spotify another chance to put music front and centre during a match that is viewed by hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide.

The kit gets attention even from those without a huge interest in the game

For Barcelona, the collaborations keep the club visible off the pitch, bringing an interest and attraction from fans who might have little interest in football but a strong connection to whoever happens to be on the shirt. The kit becomes a talking point independently to whatever happens on the night at the game especially with Olivia's loyal fan following.

On May 10 people will be showing up to see the buzz and excitement of the game against Real Madrid and also see pop music meet the pitch as Olivia Rodrigo graces the Barcelona threads.
