Magadan's Puppet Theater Takes Live Shows to Remote Villages This Week

Our website, April 21 – Actors from the Magadan Regional Puppet Theater have embarked on a tour across Magadan Oblast. On the road, the puppeteers are staging The Adventures of the Merry Little Mouse, a heartwarming tale of friendship between a cat and a mouse, which premiered in March last year. Over the course of a week, the troupe will bring the performance to Omsukchansky, Srednekansky, Yagodninsky, Susumansky, and Tenkinsky districts, with 13 shows scheduled in schools, cultural centers, and kindergartens.

  • On the first day, April 20, the puppeteers performed three shows in Omsukchansky District—at the settlements of Dukat and Omsukchan.
  • On April 22, audiences in Seimchan and Orotukan will welcome the troupe.
  • April 23 will feature performances in Debin and two shows in Sinegorye.
  • On April 24, two performances are planned at different venues in the settlement of Yagodnoye.
  • The play will be staged in the town of Susuman on April 25.
  • The tour will conclude with shows in Ust-Omchug on April 26 and 27.
