On October 3, 2025, the verdict in the lengthy Anjos vs. Joana Marques case was delivered. The pop duo had sued the comedian for over €1 million over a satirical video she posted on social media. At the heart of the dispute was a parody of the national anthem performed by the Rosado brothers during a MotoGP event in Portimão, intercut with reactions from the jury of Ídolos—the show on which Marques served as a judge.

The singers claimed the video spread misinformation, distorted their performance, and held Marques responsible for the online backlash and financial harm they suffered. In the end, she was fully acquitted. Sérgio and Nelson ultimately only drew attention to a video the public had already forgotten, with the ruling making clear that "there was no evidence that the comedian's post sparked the controversy that affected the plaintiffs' lives and careers."

The only blemish on the verdict was the confirmation that Joana Marques is, in fact, both an influencer and a "radiologist"—a fact she now plans to mine for her new show, Em Sede Própria (In My Own Space). She has been touring the country with her side of the story, selling out over 17 shows in major venues across Porto and Lisbon alone.

In an appearance on Humor à Primeira Vista with Gustavo Carvalho, she revealed she had already booked venues for Em Sede Própria before the trial with the Anjos brothers even began. She also pledged to collaborate with her friend Bumba na Fofinha "even if it's after retirement" and, for the first time, addressed Cristina Ferreira's recent controversial remarks. Marques argued that the presenter "has a complicated relationship with free speech" and detected "a kind of underlying sexism" in many of her public statements.
