Nizhny Novgorod Hosts Elite Police Combat Tactics Showdown

A senior sergeant from the Borsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Yevgeny Barinov, has won the regional combat tactics competition among instructors from extra-departmental security units, according to the press service of the Main Directorate for Extra-Departmental Security (GU UVO) under the regional Interior Ministry.

The annual competition, held at the Dynamo Training and Methodological Physical Fitness Center of the GU UVO in Nizhny Novgorod, brought together 35 officers from extra-departmental security divisions.

At the opening ceremony, Colonel Oleg Mintel, deputy head of the GU UVO, addressed the participants, emphasizing the critical role of combat training for all police officers. He underscored the need to develop rapid response skills when countering attacks by criminals armed with bladed or firearms.
