Nizhny Novgorod Energy staff honor WWII veterans with memorial restorations and tributes

Employees of Nizhny Novgorod Energy took part in this year’s Victory Day commemorations across the region. The company’s staff joined public events to mark the 81st anniversary of the end of World War II. Their activities included both ceremonies and practical efforts to honour fallen soldiers. On 9 May, workers from all districts of Nizhny Novgorod Energy attended local rallies, processions, and concerts. These events celebrated the historic victory and remembered those who fought in the war.

Director Dmitry Fedorov personally laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. Meanwhile, other employees placed wreaths at monuments dedicated to local soldiers and war memorials. Before the ceremonies, the company’s teams restored memorial sites in multiple areas. Their work covered locations such as Semyonov, Arzhanovo, Maloye Klyuchevo, Yefremovo, Sitskoye, Uspenskoye, Brylyakovo, Bolshoye Murashkino, Kulebaki, Kstovo, Uren, and Konyov. The effort ensured these sites were prepared for the anniversary observances.

The company’s involvement included both public tributes and hands-on restoration. By repairing memorials and joining commemorative events, Nizhny Novgorod Energy contributed to preserving the memory of those who served. The activities reflected the region’s ongoing commitment to honouring its wartime history.
